Privacy Policy

CoachReach helps high school athletes and their parents find college coaches, share a recruiting profile, and keep track of outreach. This policy explains what we collect and why. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking.
Information stored only on your device
Your saved schools, recruiting pipeline, notes, contact log, and reminders are stored on your device. We never receive them.
Your public recruiting profile
If you choose to publish a profile, the information you enter (for example name, grad year, sport, position, school or club, stats, academics, highlight links, photo, and any contact details you add) is stored on our servers and shown on a public web page so coaches can view it. Don't add anything you don't want coaches to see. Profile pages are hidden from search engines. You can edit or delete your profile at any time in the app (Settings › Delete my public profile), which removes it from our servers.
Profile views
When someone opens your profile page we record the time, and — if they used a tracked link from an email you sent — which coach and school the link was for. We store a salted one-way hash of the visitor's IP address, only to avoid double-counting views and to block abuse; we do not store raw IP addresses.
AI email drafts
When you ask for an email draft, the profile details and coach/school information needed to write it are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate the text. Data sent through their API is not used to train their models. Emails are sent from your own email app; we never see what you send or receive.
Device identifier and abuse prevention
The app creates a random identifier stored on your device. We use it, along with hashed IP addresses, to rate-limit requests and prevent abuse. It is not linked to your Apple ID or used for advertising.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of your subscription status from Apple and from our subscription provider, RevenueCat, using an anonymous app user ID. We never receive your payment details.
College coach directory
The coach directory is compiled from staff directories that colleges publish on their public athletics websites. Coaches who want their listing corrected or removed can email us and we will act on it promptly.
Children
CoachReach is intended for athletes aged 13 and older and their parents or guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has published a profile, contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention and your choices
Published profiles and their view history are kept until you delete them. Rate-limit records are kept for a short time and then discarded. You can request access to or deletion of any data we hold by contacting us.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
